An amazing Event in the Hills at Upwey IGA
Last Saturday I had the pleasure and the honour of taking a few pics for a local Event: the launch of the beautiful project “Plastic Bag Free Dandenong Ranges” at the IGA Supermarket in Upwey.
The aim of this initiative is to stop the distribution of single-use plastic Bags in the Dandenong Ranges by encouraging the use of cloth bags and collaborating with local Businesses and Supermarkets.
I’m really proud of the local Community: great ideas and strong will of doing something good. And, of course, an incredible inspiration for the kids and the younger generations.
I’ve been following this great local initiative since the beginning and I’m really excited to be able to be part of it.
Enjoy the photos! 🙂
Yarra Ranges Life TV was present too, interviewing and filming the Event.
‘Swap the Straw’ Project
Alongside with “Plastic Bag Free Dandenong Ranges” was another beautiful initiative: “Swap the Straw”, whose aim is to approach every Business and Restaurant in the Hills to encourage them to switch to carton straws.
The “Swap the Straw” stand had some beautiful inspirations and tips on simple yet effective every-day life hacks.
During the Event, inside IGA Supermarket, local musicians and kids started a beautiful flashmob. Even a special furry guest was present. 🙂
